That is where Mark Porter was with his home. Mark liked the overall layout, but he wanted something with cleaner, more sophisticated lines – not too contemporary, but not traditional either.

Mark had been driving by our showroom for many months – twice a day, to and from his job at Ventana Medical. He finally took action.

But, he didn’t call or come in. First he checked out our website, liked what he saw and read, and then called for an appointment.

HGTV & DIY-TV Nut

When I first met Mark, he asked if I knew of Mike Holmes from DIY–TV. I replied, “I certainly do, his show is one of my favorites, but I’m even better.”

That took Mark a bit by surprise, but he certainly knew he was going to get what he wanted. I also knew that Mark would appreciate the high quality standards and attention to detail we have.

How to Stretch a Budget

As you can see from the Scope of Work, Mark wanted a lot done, with a tight budget.

One of the ways we helped him stretch his budget was to re-face the kitchen cabinets vs. tear-out and replace with new. If you’re not changing the footprint of the cabinets, that is a great money and time saver.

We helped select several new pieces of artwork, of varying kinds, to compliment the new furnishings and coordinate with the new color scheme throughout the home.
