This client wanted to give their master bathroom an updated look while keeping the existing cabinets and countertops. They also wanted it to look and feel like it was all designed all at one time.
To tone down the busy-ness of the red marble countertops, their designer Bryana, focused on the gray colors in the marble instead of the red. Using the grays as the new foundation for the design, Bryana replaced the floor tile with a large scale gray tile, set on a diagonal. The new paint colors also pull out all the different grays found in the countertops, and help accent the architectural detail around the shower.
Replacing the dark 12×12 shower tile with a more modern vertical look accomplished what the homeowners wanted.
Bryana designed a new shower tile scheme that leveraged off the red marble counters, yet injected a more modern vertical concept. By taking the tile from floor to ceiling, it makes the shower look and feel larger.
Bryana also replaced their dated framed shower enclosure with a frameless enclosure for a clean sleek look.
